I’ve been taking photos since I was 17. I purchased my first SLR in 1972 with a tax refund. I was working at a photography shop and the owner said if I really wanted to pursue photography I needed to own the best. So I followed his advice and purchased an Olympus OM-1. I still own it. My husband uses it for deep space photography on his telescope.
Learning to take photos on the old SLR was a good thing. In fact it made transitioning to a digital camera a bit difficult. I enjoyed controlling the depth of field myself and having to program my digital camera to do it, was a bit disconcerting at first. Read More »
